Donna Apidone is known throughout northern California and western Nevada as the friendly voice who gets people out of bed in the morning. She is a personable radio presenter, interviewer and award-winning author. The single most common compliment of the popular host: “I feel like she is right here with me.” It’s that personal connection that keeps listeners and readers coming back for more.

Donna has been the regional host of NPR’s Morning Edition since 2001, providing regional content with solid authority and a dash of humor. For almost 10 years, Donna has also hosted a classical music show. From that seat, she developed and performed a script based on composer Clara Schumann’s diary.

One of her professional passions comes from her interviews with best-selling authors. Writers enjoy the experience because, they say, Donna lets them talk.

As interviewer, writer and presenter, Donna operates through a single filter: How do we make a difference in the world? Her book, TransForMission, received the Beverly Hills Book Award. The book is based on her life-changing seminars of the same name. Donna is a certified life coach and interfaith minister.

She is currently writing historical fiction set in Europe and the U.S.

When not in a radio studio or at the keyboard, Donna is a frequent speaker and host at community events. Keep an eye out for her at performances that range from ballet to bluegrass.

She lives in northern California.
