Write-Voice
We create sound for authors and artists who don’t think they need sound
"Donna Apidone and Mark Jones are a truly impressive and wonderful team. From the beginning of our interview to the very last word, Donna helped me feel comfortable by asking thoughtful questions and responding with interest. Mark sorted through the highlights and tinkered with the music until they were just right. I couldn't be happier with their work."
--Kim Fairley, author of Shooting Out the Lights: A Memoir and Swimming for My Life
Sound captures emotion, intensity and authenticity within seconds. At its most powerful, it can enhance your brand.
For authors, the written word is your focus. For visual artists, it’s the piece you create.
Sound adds depth to your work.
WriteVoice offers an intriguing three-pronged strategy to your brand to:
- reveal your passion and style
- acquaint your audience with the person behind the work
- assure bookstores, galleries and talk show producers of your engaging verbal delivery

How it sounds
Hillary Simpson Bolle
For the release of her first book, Missouri Magpie, Hillary Simpson Bolle worked with WriteVoice to develop an audio promo package. This package, recommended for authors and artists, includes an interview produced into three audio pieces and transcribed highlights. All elements edited and produced by Donna Apidone and Mark Jones.
Celia Jeffries
Blue Desert, the first novel from Celia Jeffries, delicately blended diverse cultures. WriteVoice developed an audio promo package to reflect the texture of the book. We conducted an interview and produced three audio pieces with transcribed highlights. All elements edited and produced by Donna Apidone and Mark Jones.
Kim Fairley
Swimming for My Life is Kim Fairley’s second book and her second package from WriteVoice. Fairley grew up in the water and swam competitively at University of Southern California. Write-Voice interviewed Fairley, found fitting music and packaged it all into short, engaging cuts. All elements edited and produced by Donna Apidone and Mark Jones.
After decades of producing interviews for radio and podcasts, we’ve developed a style that brings out the best qualities of authors and artists.
We conduct and record an interview with you, from which we cull four components:
- Audio 1 - an edited five-minute profile in your voice
- Audio 2 - an abbreviated version of your voice profile
- Audio 3 - a 30- to 60-second promo, in your voice, with music
- Transcript - three highlights of your statements
All elements are delivered to you in formats ready to add to your website.
